Our Return Policies:

New England Knits operates as a curated online gallery representing independent textile artists throughout the Northeast. Every item offered is an irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind work of art. Due to our desire to support our makers through a prompt, sustainable 80/20 financial split, our return infrastructure is strictly managed to balance client security with artist compensation.

Upon delivery of a purchase, a seventy-two (72) hour inspection window commences. Clients are requested to immediately unpack, inspect, and evaluate the fit and quality of the garment during this timeframe. If no communication is initiated by the client within three (3) calendar days of delivery, the sale is considered final, and the allocated funds are automatically released directly to the artisan. Prior to this, payment is retained by New England Knits so that a cash refund can be easily provided. Should a client request a refund, it will take place as soon as the artist has received the returned item. We are a small company, and we take the management of both art and payment very seriously.

While handmade knitwear possesses inherent variations in stretch and drape, we recognize that fit discrepancies may occasionally occur. Clients are strongly encouraged to cross-reference their personal measurements with the exact flat-lay dimensions provided on each product page prior to purchase.

In the event that a garment fails to fit or arrives with a demonstrable structural defect, the client must contact customer service at hello@new-england-knits.co within the mandatory three-day window to initiate a return.

• Sizing Returns: For items returned due to fit preferences, the client is responsible for all return shipping logistics and associated costs. Items must be returned in pristine, unworn condition.

• Defective Merchandise: In the rare event of severe transit damage or an overlooked structural defect, the gallery will provide a prepaid return shipping label.

Upon safe receipt and formal inspection of the garment at our gallery, a full refund will be processed back to the original method of payment. The item will subsequently be reintroduced to the online gallery collection.

The gallery offers a formal accommodation for items purchased as gifts. Clients may request a customized extension of the inspection window upon purchase of an item (not after its arrival) by emailing hello@new-england-knits.co.

Custom commissions, personalized items, and merchandise explicitly designated as "Final Sale" are exempt from this policy and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund under any circumstances.
